Better late than never..

A long time ago in the far off distance, we went to a few comics fairs.. and played some loafish games. At the time we solemnly promised they would be on the blog the very instant we got home but.. the way back was all over quagmires, ancient curses, ravines, wolves, cornershops, you name it.  But here we finally are, and here they finally be.. phew.

We also played some matchbox pictionary - the idea with this game is that someone writes a little something, and the next person draws a picture to illustrate it.  Then they put that picture into the matchbox, covering the writing.  The next person looks at the picture and writes what it might be illustrating, then adds that to the box.. and so on.

Hot Loaf Launch the second

MUCH MANY THANKS to the folks at Eggs Milk Butter for lending us their smashing cafe on the hottest saturday yet - and to all you who came along, we lift our hats also.  It was truly baking.

 

With that, LOAf 2 was up and at 'em!  He'll be scampering into the usual shops, and others besides, in the coming weeks, or order yours online. Hep hep!

Second Loaf Party!

Hey you people!  If you're at a loose end on the 6th July, come on down and join us at EGGS MILK BUTTER, London's first and most best comics cafe for another LOAf launch!  Lawks crumbs yes tis really that time already, the next batch of LOAf is nearly riz and ready.  Being as how this issue is full of all manner of FRIENDS, what better time (I ask you) for Loaf friends old and new to get together and make an edible comic?  Or two?

Comika games part 2: hospital dinners

(This is a cheat.  We made it! )

Try it yourselves - the first person writes the speech bubbles.  The second person draws the pictures for those and writes the speech bubbles in the next panel.  Then the first person (or third person, depending how many friends you have) draws the pictures for THOSE, and then writes the speech bubbles for the NEXT panel... and so on..

COMICS! FAIRS! GAMES! part 1

So a few weeks ago we were at the Comika spring Comiket, a grand affair, many fine folks met and gret there.  Some of them even liked to get involved with various GAMES that were on offer as well as LOAf Issue 1 (which as you all know can also be got online or at various shops around the place, if you missed the fair).  

This one here was a competition with a Mystery Prize. The drawings are by Ylva, who wrote the original story.  We invited people to come up with alternative words. Being a little on the slow side we haven't yet chosen a winner.  Opinions very welcome!

Friends galore!

Some time ago (it's practically ancient history) the Loaf wondered into Heffers, a lonely soul looking for someone to keep him company.

  Loaf cannot live by bread and books alone.  So the eager fellow sprinted forth.

As luck would have it, a brilliant lot of you came to help us make him quite nearly a million friends!  There were so many in fact that some of you started to wonder if perhaps a loaf can have TOO many of them...

Surely not!
